Varun Maniar (1998) is a designer and fabricator currently pursuing a Master of Science in Architecture Studies in Architectural Design (SMArchS AD) at MIT. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has professional experience spanning industrial design to architectural metal fabrication.
His work is grounded in hands-on making, driven by a fascination with materials, tools, and processes. An emphasis on tectonics informs the design of objects that can be easily assembled, disassembled, repaired, and serviced.
Selected projects have been exhibited in New York and Milan Design Week.
